Ipoh Bean Sprouts Chicken Rice at Rawang

Today we went to a Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken Rice restaurant located at Rawang. This restaurant is easily recognizable and seen as it is located opposite Parkson Ria Rawang.

This restaurant only sells chicken, bean sprouts, meat balls and rice.

This bowl of soup consists of meat balls and fish balls. The fish balls were very chewy.

White chicken was very good. It was tender and soft.

The bean sprouts are very big and thick. Unlike what we used to buy at local market or Char Kuey Teow's bean sprouts. However a simple ask can get you Ipoh Bean Sprouts at local markets.

Rice and Herbal Tea each for four persons and with dishes above: RM32.00

Curry Chicken Wantan Mee at Lai Foong Restaurant

Good Saturday Morning to everyone!

As usual, I went to Guan Di Temple for praying and blessing. This Guan Di Temple is located at Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur. Guan Di Temple is nearby Central Market (as known as Pasar Seni LRT Station) and you should drop by here if you are heading to Petaling Street.

Note that this Temple is open daily from 7:00AM to 5:00PM only.

After temple, I went to Lai Foong Restaurant for a good breakfast. I ordered Kopi-O and Curry Chicken Wantan Mee. In English, noodles is called as Mee.

The curry gravy is thick and flavourful with coconut milk fragrance.

And for me, a good breakfast must come with Kopi-O. I like Kopi-O because of its "Kaw-ness" and original. Kaw is what we call 'thick'. So if you are at any coffee shop, you mention anything, and Kaw, the server will understood what you meant!

This restaurant is located at Jalan Tun HS Lee, it is nearby Central Market and it is opposite CIMB Bank HS Lee.

Price: RM1.60 (Kopi-O), RM6.00 (Curry Chicken Wantan Mee)

After that, I went to Thean Hou Temple KL.

Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng and Lin Chi Kang

Tonight's dinner is Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng.

The rice is steamed instead of cooked in a cooker. The fried chicken is nevertheless to be eaten with the chilli sambal. The fried anchovies and groundnuts were there but it was hidden underneath the fried chicken.

Dessert time, Lin Chi Kang. This dessert is my all time favourite. I drove to SS2 was just because of this dessert. It has chewy winter melon strips. These strips made the dessert more enjoyable and I feel more happier.

Price: RM6.00 for Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng, RM3.00 for Lin Chi Kang

A&W Spicy Fried Chicken

This was taken three months ago but I think it is worth sharing.

That time was Chinese New Year Celebration where my friends and I went to do house visits.
I went to Seremban for "pai-nian"(open house gathering).

I dropped by at Seremban RnR for a quickie. A&W just opened weeks ago after gone through massive renovation.

I wanted to order Waffle but I was told the person who make waffle is on annual leave so I left no option but to order other dishes.

So, I ordered one combo set of Spicy Fried Chicken (2pcs), at RM12.85 inclusive of GST.

The chicken tasted so so good, well also because it is still hot and enjoyed with refreshing root beer is just heavenly heaven.

Mee Goreng for Supper

I am hungry so I dropped by nearby mamak, Shaaz for a quick supper.

I ordered one plate of Mee Goreng and a one Lime Juice.
I was very angry because the Lime Juice is RM1.90 while Teh O Limau Ice is RM2.00. Well, I think it was better for me to just order the latter one.

The mee goreng was nice, well because I was hungry.
Nothing special though. Mamak like to sprinkle Bawang Goreng to fry it and sprinkle it another time before it served to the customer.

Organic and Healthy Nasi Lemak

I went to BMS Organics for a good lunch. I ordered Nasi Lemak and a refreshing juice, Pineapple and Cucumber Juice.

The fruit juice was freshly squeezed. No ice added and no additional water added to dilute it.

As complimentary, I was given Organic Spirulina pills and one cup of ginger tea. Spirullina has a lot health benefits you can search on the internet, Ginger tea helps you to warm up your stomach before meal.

I chewed the Spirullina pills, then drank the Ginger tea.

The main course, Nasi Lemak. The Nasi Lemak served with papadum, vegetarian chicken curry, salads, beans and nuts, brown rice and of course sambal.

The chicken curry is very good. It has a good taste, the gravy was equivalently good to a real chicken/mutton curry ones.

Same goes to the sambal. Although normal nasi lemak we will see sambal with anchovies(ikan bilis), but this alternative sambal is just as good to fit into my stomach.

Price: RM24.00

Onigiri

Today I went to Aeon Big Subang Jaya for shopping. I had two pieces of Onigiri. The Onigiri were quite good to be honest. Again this is what you eat and what you paid for.

RM2 for two pieces of Onigiri is a good buy actually. I can't complain the taste and quality as compare with Japanese Restaurants around the town.

They were my dinner for the day. The Onigiri turned out to be quite good. The Onigiri were made from glutinouse rice. I took one piece Unagi and plain glutinouse rice Onigiri; and one piece of Cooked Glutinouse Rice. The cooked one is not plain rice but it was cooked with onion and some dried food. The taste is almost the same with Chinese Rice Dumpling (Hokkien Bak Chang).

Then it was the dessert time! I had Magnum Pink after shopping at Aeon Big Supermarket.

Yum Yum Tomyum Shrimp Creamy Flavour Instant Noodle.

Today I had a late dinner. I prepared a pack of Yum Yum Tomyum Shrimp Creamy Flavour Instant Noodle. This noodle is made in Thailand. You can get it in Thailand while you in vacation there. Or you can get it at any Asian store nearby you.

Hint: 'Tomyum' and 'Creamy'

Let's go to the food, it is quite hot to be honest but for me I can managed it. Just prepare additional tissue paper to wipe your sweat.

To have more excitement, I added fish balls, shrimps and vegetables.

Cheers, and sorry for the blurry photo.

Nasi Lemak Melaka at Sunway Mentari

This morning is still a public holiday replacement, again Happy Holiday to everyone!

This morning's traffic is as smooth as a butter. In fact the oddness of Morning Rushness is 180 degree changed. Well, at least I can enjoyed it today.

This morning I had a Nasi Lemak breakfast at a stall located at Lai Kong Restaurant in Sunway Mentari. This Nasi Lemak is relatively richer than the one we used to see selling on the roadside thou.

The fried chicken is really good. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The only not good thing is to eat fried chicken early in the morning. So, this is a good start isn't it? *wink-wink*

And one thing to good to let you know; the chicken's fat has been removed. The owner is quite health conscious yo!

Sambal is good. Not only sweetness, but the savoury taste of it when you eat it with chicken pieces and rice is just good.

However I think the rice is a little bit soft but I am OK with that.

Price: RM10

Balinese Food at Ole-Ole Bali Sunway Pyramid

Today is International Worker's Day. Happy Labour Day to all! :p We went to Sunway Pyramid for a Balinese treats. We stood at Ole-Ole Bali. We ordered three Main Courses for four of us. We like to share food as the portion is quite big actually.

Nasi Campur RM37

Siap Megoreng RM31

Cumi Metumis RM33

As expected, the portion is quite big. We took more than 40 minutes to complete this meal. I am not if this is my tongue taste, I think Balinese food is quite heavily salted in some sense, such as it's bumbu on the Siap Megoreng. But overall it was good.
