Char Siew treats at Taman Sri Muda.

Today my colleagues and I went for a good lunch at Golden Spring Restaurant, Taman Sri Muda, Seksyen 25 Shah Alam. It is located opposite NSK supermarket.

Four of us ordered four pax of Char Siew and four pax of Roasted Chicken. A refreshing Herbal tea for each of us. Or course the meal is to be eated with fragrant rice.

The chilli sambal was good. The Char Siew was sweet, juicy and savoury. However the salty seemed missing, may be the soy sauce is flooded with the sweetness.

The chicken was just ok for me, quite tender.

Nothing to brag about this Yau Mak, just to add green - more variety to the dishes.

Price: RM53 for four persons all in.

Seafood Bak Kut Teh at Api Town

I and a new friend went to a famous Bak Kut Teh restaurant at KK. This shop is situated at Api-Api and it is just beside Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu.

I am used to BKT in Peninsular Malaysia, especially renown Klang BKT which pork meat is the main ingredient. However this shop is a special case. They have seafood version.

Let's try. If I recalled correctly, RM36 you will have 300gram of prawns and fish fillets (grouper fish). These are the main ingredients instead meaty version.

I like their homemade Tauhu. On the outside it is fried to crispy perfection but the inside is still soft.

Price: RM65 (approx.)
