The ulam-ulaman (herbs) is collected and finely chopped. These does not require any cooking. Fish was pan grilled beforehand before it was minced.
In Thai language, we call this Khao Jam. Literary the pronunciation is the same with cow-jump.
Let's go to the food, the green rice is cooked from green coloured herbs.
Finely chopped ulams spreaded on top of the rice. Put in some budu (fish sauce) and remember to mix and stir the herbs and rice.
Add budu if you want more flavourful to the rice. Last but not least the Khao Jam is best served with fish crackers!
It is also best to served with salted egg, which I had for dinner.
